Adoption: Build your family through adoptionCatholic Social Services offers a variety of adoption programsAdoption from the HeartAdoption from the Heart is a program designed for those who want to adopt healthy infants regardless of race. The adoptive family can be chosen by birthparents. The opportunity to meet and have ongoing contact with them through pictures, letters, and even visits is possible. An adoption counselor will guide you through the process before, during, and after the placement of the child in your home. Inter-country AdoptionInter-country adoption is a program designed for those who desire to adopt a child from another country. There are many children living in their birth countries who need a family. An adoption counselor will collaborate with your placing agency, complete your home study and post-placement visits, and give you support and guidance throughout the Inter-country Adoption process. If interested in international adoption, the following link will explain additional finger printing that is required before our home study can be submitted to Citizenship/Immigration Services (CIS). Identified AdoptionIdentified adoption is a program designed to assist families who have already been matched with a birthparent. Families work independently to find a child through an attorney, family, friends, and/or networking with the community. An adoption counselor will complete your home study and post-placement visits. Birthparent services and counseling are also available. Special Needs Adoption"Special Needs Adoption" is a program designed to help families who desire to adopt a child with special needs as classified by the Department of Children and Family Services standards. Loving homes willing to adopt older children and sibling groups are always needed.
