All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application, provide three references, and interview with the Director of Quality Assurance or the Regional Director. Because of the potential contact with children, some volunteers are required to be screened through a criminal background check. Some Available OpportunitiesDon Bosco Children's Center
Volunteers who work at the Children's Center work directly with the children. Some of the duties include assisting with outdoor activities and field trips, assisting with play room cleaning maintenance, and playing games with the children. Intern
Internships are available in a variety of programs, including foster care, adoption, and the various counseling programs. Mentor
Volunteers assist in the mentoring program with children by sharing time and talents, outside of the office, with children. Volunteers talk with the children about their experiences and help to provide positive role models. Administrative
Volunteers are always needed to help with the many tasks of keeping the agency operating. Some of the tasks include computer work, filing, and assisting with mailings. Committee or Regional Local Advisory Councils
Volunteers can also serve the agency by becoming a member on one of the many committees that help keep the agency running. The committees are involved with educating the public about our programs, identifying agency needs, and fundraising to name a few.
